No. Your existing BT number will be retained - both numbers can work at the same time. That means, if someone is not aware of your new marketing number and still calling you on your BT number, the call will still get through to you.

A new number (starting with 0871) will be assigned to you / chosen by you. This number is pointed at one of your existing telephone numbers.
Are the 0871 numbers registered in my name?
Yes, All telephone numbers are registered in your name. The numbers stay with you for as long as you want to use them.
Do I earn money from an 0871 number?
Yes, you will earn 2.0p per minute for any incoming call during all times of the day 7 days a week.
How much do callers pay to ring an 0871 number?
Callers will be charged a fixed rate 10p per minute no matter where there are within the UK. Which is basically a normal national rate call.
Can I have more than 1 0871 number?
Yes, you can have as many 0871 marketing numbers as you require, but there is an additional one off fee of £49 for a second number, and if you choose more than two numbers, then these will again be charged a one off charge of £29 per number.
I am an individual, not a company, can I have an 0871 number?
Yes, although our ordering page asks for a company name you can put "individual" or "sole trader" down. Individuals / sole traders use 0871 numbers so as not to give out their home number.
Can I point an 0871 number to my mobile number?
Yes, but please be aware that you will pay the mobile tariff for each incoming call since two calls are now being made, one the caller to you pays the standard rate for calling the 0871 number and you will pay the rate for calling your mobile number. Please ask for our latest prices regarding mobile tariffs.

Yes, to a degree. We will send you our current list of 0871 numbers. You can choose from within this list. The list of numbers varies in length from day to day as numbers are ordered but the list often includes hundreds of different 0870 numbers to choose from.
Are there any hidden costs?
Absolutely not!. After our one off payment the only time an 0871 number will cost you is if you have diverted / pointed the 0871 number to a mobile / international number or other premium rate number. If the underlying number that is being pointed to is a standard telephone number you will not be charged.
